Jesus told parables: "earthly stories with Heavenly meanings" so that the audience could better understand how to live. I picture Jesus telling His stories while they sat on the grass. Reading Sam's book has me feeling I'm sitting in his living room on a comfortable chair while Sam is the one telling the parables: Biblical meanings from his experiences.
